We are looking to recruit a qualified and experienced Finance and Administration Worker to develop and maintain effective finance and administration systems to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the organisation. Ideally, the succesful candidate will have a good standard of education and have a relevant qualification in bookkeeping and/or accountancy. They will also have a minimum of one year's experience of bookkeeping / financial management (including payroll) in a small to medium sized organisation.

By becoming a Big Sister you can achieve all this and make a difference. We are always looking out for young mums to become Peer Mentors. So, if you are 19 or under and you are open-minded, a good listener, enjoy meeting other people and are interested in helping other young parents reach their potential then get in touch with us. We will provide training and an opportunity to gain work experience and a qualification. We are also able to provide free childcare and travel expenses so it won’t cost you a penny to take part. We are looking for women who are positive and committed to the principles developing services for women, girls and families. We are particularly looking for women who feel they have the skills to help us launch and oversee the implementation of our new strategic plan In order to do this we are particularly looking for women with an understanding and experience of; • Business development & trading • Marketing and PR • The Law Committee members are required to attend quarterly Board Meetings and participate in one of the centre's quarterly management sub groups (ie Finance, HR or Governance). From time to time there may also be a need to attend one-off development and review meetings and there may be some work required between meetings. New members will be expected to attend an induction meeting and will receive support from the Chair and other committee members. Becoming a Director / Trustee of TPWC will give you the chance to be a part of the development of the Centre, it will give you experience of governance and operating at a strategic level. Families in Focus - Parent Volunteers (Braunstone and New Parks) (male and female)

Are you a parent or carer living in Braunstone or New Parks ? If so we'd love you to come and get involved in our parent support and family learning projects. We will train you to work as either a Peer Mentor working with families in the community or as a Group Support Worker helping out at parenting and family learning events. Full training and ongoing support is given. This role is an excellent way to develop your skills and confidence and many of our volunteers have gone on to start careers in social care, community work and education. Are you a parent living in the Charnwood area ? Would you like to get involved in helping out at your local Children's Centre ? Families in Focus are currently working with all of the Children's Centres in the Charnwood Area (Loughborough, Shepshed, Mountsorrel and Thurmaston) to develop opportunities for parents to get involved in the development and delivery of local services. We are always on the lookout for young mums to train as Peer Educators. The experience can be life-changing and we are able to provide you with all the help and support you need including free training, childcare and travel expenses. You’ll have an opportunity to develop your knowledge about sex and relationships and learn how to lead a group. Many young women on this programme move on to work and training and it’s especially good if you’re thinking about a career in health and social care, nursing, education, youth work or community development work. Even if you’re not sure what you want to do with your life, the programme can give you advice and support to find the opportunities that are right for you.
