NEW DAWN NEW DAY IS EXCELLENT-IT'S OFFICIAL

New Dawn New Day, has been recognised with a Customer Service Excellence award. Although the award is more usually given to large public sector and not-for-profit organisations, New Dawn New Day received a rave review from the judges. After in depth interviews with staff and service users, assessor David Melton concluded that the charity’s commitment to deliver the best possible service was clearly visible. He said: “New Dawn New Day has a very high level of understanding of the requirements of the people it supports. The way the charity engages and consults with people is admirable. Staff commitment, professionalism, a feeling of engagement and being valued, and the level of morale is extremely high. This is particularly impressive as the work they do can be very stressful. “It’s very pleasurable to see a small organisation like this go for the award, compared to the larger ones we normally see. Feedback from customers was extremely positive, and I hope the charity continues to provide help and support for many years to come.” Sara Swire, New Dawn New Day’s chief executive, said: “The team should all feel very proud, this type of award and standard is normally achieved by large-scale public sector organisations. “Without the hard work and commitment of the New Dawn New Day team, we wouldn’t have been able to go for the award in the first place. It helps to reaffirm what an excellent job we are doing, what an effective organisation we are and that what we do actually transforms the lives of women and their families every day.” |
COMMUNITY CALENDAR FOR SALE

This new initiative is designed to help raise funds and awareness for Community Organisations and Charities. There are twelve of us and we all work to improve the lives of people living in Leicester. We all feature in the calendar to help them to spread the word about our work, encourage community involvement & help raise funds in this difficult climate. The calendar also highlights important dates for the sector, such as International Women’s Day. The 2012 calendar is on sale at our Cantrell Raod and Oswin Road sites for only £5. If you would like a copy please speak to a member of staff at New Dawn New Day or email admin@ndnd.org.uk The calendar is an original idea created by Leicester Social Enterprise Well for Living. All the money from the calendar sales go directly to the community group selling the calendar. |
